Admittedly, I dont follow golf, but as far as the Transgender Community goes, this is very important step forward, overall, as pro-golfer Mianne Bagger became the first TS to compete in the Ladies European Tour. Last week, she played in the ANZ Ladies Masters Tournament in Australia,
Bagger underwent reassignment surgery in 1995.
Apparently, fellow players have accepted her, and she's quoted as saying they've been "wonderful."
She became eligible for the tour after officials changed the "female at birth" policy for competitors. The Australian and British Ladies Golf Associations followed suit. The LPGA
Tour (U.S.) is reportedly considering a policy change, as well.
