I recently watched a television documentary called "Gender Swap." I actually thought this was going to be a program about SRS. I was somewhat mislead.
It focused on two individuals who, apparently, weren't considering such surgery at time, but moving full speed ahead, so to speak, on cosmetic surgery to alter their appearance to
appear more feminized.
Its MY opinion, I guess, in some cases that's OK, if that's what you want to do. I mean, breast augmentation isn't all that uncommon, but the rest, to me, seemed a bit on the extreme side.
Lets face it, REAL genetic ladies aren't perfect, nor do they all look like supermodels. A large degree of "passing" is attitude, and that doesn't matter if you even look like a
pro football player, gals.
Sure, we all should want to look our best, but you can carry that way too far. Now, this is just ME talking, its YOUR life, and you should be able to handle gender dysphoria anyway you see fit.
Maybe concentrating on your "outside" beauty isn't the answer.
I'm no beauty, believe me, and I'm not "young and pretty," anymore, but I live full time, and my major goal is SRS. I don't have to look in the mirror and see Britney Spears.
Oh, getting back to the documentary, they did a brief highlight of Dr. Marci Bowers, a post-op M2F, who took over famed surgeon Dr. Stanely Biber's practice in Trinidad, Colorado. I thought that segment was excellent. I'd
previously written a brief article about Dr. Biber's retirement.
